RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
project-1
Unsharp measurement-based hybrid feature extraction for image classification
Institute Siksha ’O’ Anusandhan
• This project develops a hybrid quantum-classical model to classify handwritten digits ’0’ and ’4’ from MNIST. Grayscale pixels are encoded into quantum states, and unsharp measurements extract features while preserving quantum properties. These features are then processed by a classical neural network. We find that state reuse and measurement unsharpness significantly impact accuracy. - 2025

project-2
Unsharp Measurement based Edge-detection using Photonic Quantum Computer Institute Siksha ’O’ Anusandhan
• Developed a photonic quantum-inspired framework using beam splitters and unsharp measurements for image generation. Optimized with COBYLA to minimize reconstruction errors, achieving high image quality (low MSE, high PSNR). Applications include medical imaging, cryptography, and pattern recognition. - 2024

project-3
Analysis of PT-Symmetric with Vanishing Real and Imaginary Components
Institute Siksha ’O’ Anusandhan
• Studied a PT-invariant potential with V1,2(x) = 0, analyzing conditions for unbroken PT symmetry and real eigenvalues. Identified symmetry-breaking thresholds and developed solvable models with applications in quantum optics, wave mechanics, and related fields. - 2024

Master’s project
Detection of Variables using Gravitational Microlensing and Plotting Color magnitude diagram
Institute Indian Institute of Astrophysics
• Microlensing is one of the commonly used methods to find low-brightness objects, which include planets. Globular clusters are spherical collections of densely packed stars. In this project, I am working on a given globular cluster NGC4147(Oosterhoff type-I) to detect short-time-scale transient events using differential imaging analysis(DIA). I Performed the (i) Data Reduction of raw images(FITS) using IRAF and finding the light curve by image subtraction method by using DIAPL2. The purpose to observe these cluster is, (ii)Search for low-mass dark objects, including free-floating planets and Intermediate mass black holes (IMBH), through the method of microlensing. - 2023

project-5
Investigation of starbursts in interacting spirals
Institute Society of Space Education Research and Development
• Studied the effects of interactions on spiral galaxies, leading to a change in their star-formation rates, affecting the luminosity of the entire galaxy. For this, we calculated the SFRs for 20 such interactions and made BPT diagrams to classify them into different categories - 2022
