Master's In Science || Physics

Surajit Sen completed his Master of Science in Physics from the department of physics and astrophysics in Central University of Haryana (2021–2023) with a focus on theoretical and mathematical physics. During his Master’s program, he developed a solid foundation in advanced quantum mechanics, astrophysics, and applied mathematics, equipping him with the analytical and computational skills necessary for interdisciplinary research in quantum theory and computation.
Master’s Project:

Detection of Variables using Gravitational Microlensing and Plotting Color Magnitude Diagram (2023)
Conducted at the Indian Institute of Astrophysics, this project involved searching for low-brightness astronomical objects such as planets and intermediate-mass black holes through microlensing techniques. Surajit performed data reduction of raw FITS images using IRAF and analyzed light curves with image subtraction methods via DIAPL2, focusing on the globular cluster NGC4147 (Oosterhoff type-I) to detect transient events of short time scales.

 Elective Courses:

Introduction to Computer Programming: Python Laboratory Course
 (Spring 2023, Indian Institute of Astrophysics)
: This course offered practical programming skills in Python, used for scientific computation and data analysis, strengthening Surajit’s computational toolkit for quantum research.

Course on General Theory of Relativity: Tensor and Gravitational Radiation and Solar Physics (Autumn 2022, Central University of Haryana): This advanced physics course covered the mathematical framework of general relativity, gravitational waves, and solar physics, expanding Surajit’s theoretical background in fundamental physics.
